One of the coolest parts about being a wedding photographer is getting to know and love the couples I photograph and stay in touch with them long after their wedding. Getting to shoot maternity sessions for my past CCP Brides as well as CCP Couples who have taken advantage of my anniversary portrait sessions is a really special part of my job, and I am always so excited and honored when they choose me to capture a new chapter in their love story; parenthood!
When Keli and Derek reached out to me back in the fall for an anniversary session, I had no idea it would turn into a birth announcement! I was jumping up and down with excitement for Keli and Derek when they told me during that session that they were expecting their first baby in July. (See an image from that session below!)
Keli and Derek reached out to me, again, this spring to set up a maternity portrait session at Kensington Metropark which, honestly, looks like an enchanted forest! Keli looked like a total goddess as we explored Kensington Metro Park and I couldn’t blame Derek for not taking his eyes off her. These amazing parents-to-be are extra special to me because Scott and I have know these two for forever - through college, dating, their wedding, our wedding, and now for their first baby girl who just arrived on Wednesday 7/17/19!
Congrats, again, Keli + Derek! We are so excited for you both and this brand new adventure, and can’t wait to meet that precious baby in person!
