Natalie + Derek | Summer Vineyard + Hidden Lake Engagement, Tipton, MI
It's the best feeling ever when my couples become more like friends than clients! It's an EVEN better feeling when my existing friends become a CCP couple!!! Scott and I have known Derek since our days at Adrian College (Derek was actually Scott's roommate and fraternity brother!) and when he got engaged to his beautiful-bride-to-be, Natalie, we were just over the moon excited for them!
Natalie and Derek asked me to be their wedding photographer, and I was so glad that I had their wedding date available (and I'm pretty sure I did a happy dance right there in their living room)! Natalie and Derek spent the evening with myself and Scott exploring the hiking paths throughout Hidden Lake Gardens and chasing the dreamy sunlight between the vines at the Black Fire Winery. Engagement sessions are a great way for me to get to know my couples in advance to their wedding day, but since I already knew Natalie + Derek really well the whole evening was so much fun and these two felt free to be themselves in front of my camera; affectionate, light-hearted, adventurous, and hilarious.
Natalie + Derek, I feel so very blessed to not only count you both as dear friends, but to be the one to photograph these memories for you! I am so stinkin' excited for your wedding day next year and for all the adventures yet to come together! Congratulations again!!!
Love,
Courtney
