Intimate Garden Wedding Detroit, MI: Gabby + Misha

I was asked to photograph the spontaneous and intimate backyard wedding of Gabby and Misha just 3 weeks before the I dos on July 6th. The wedding took place at the bride's family home, where she got ready and wore in a vintage tea length wedding dress that worked beautifully for this small, personal ceremony. Gabby's mother designed their home and backyard with a lot of really cool personal art and paid close attention to detail - that as a photographer I just love! I am such a visual person and when I get the honor to photograph a wedding where the bride and groom also have a good attention to detail and visual design it just makes my day.

Gabby and Misha's love is that of two old souls. When they first met, Misha was an exchange student from Russia and although his parents couldn't attend the ceremony in person, they joined in the celebration via Skype.

I am sososo in love with all the moments and images from this wedding and it just goes to show that you can have a beautiful, small DIY wedding on a budget. But don't forget that if you put in all the work to create DIY details, make sure to invest in a professional photographer to document all the hard work you put into creating the atmosphere!
