Throughout the majority of Lindsay and Corbin's wedding day at The Valley in Ann Arbor, MI we were dodging rain clouds! Thankfully for Lindsay and Corbin, these little bursts of rain seemed to last about ten minutes at a time every half hour. So for those thirty minutes between showers, the sky became this amazing overcast texture and was rain-free for them!

Due to these unexpected rain showers, and because the wedding would be taking place outdoors, we had to be flexible with the timeline for photos, but both Lindsay and Corbin had great attitudes about the weather and just rolled with it! After I had a chance to capture all of Lindsay's romantic bridal details (all of which were in the neutral color palette of white, nude, gold, and blush) Lindsay read some handwritten letters from her closest friends and from Corbin before her mom and bridesmaids helped her into her wedding dress.

As the girls excitedly prepared for the ceremony, they all reminisced about Lindsay and Corbin's love for each other and looked back on how Corbin proposed. Lindsay and Corbin had decided to travel to Nashville, TN for a long weekend. Corbin completely surprised Lindsay and told her that they would be going out to eat for a nice dinner. As the walked to dinner, they crossed over a bridge that looked over the whole city of Nashville and that's where Corbin proposed! And I personally have to give Corbin major props because he not only planned this beautiful moment, but he also found a photographer to capture the whole proposal! How cool that they'll have pictures of this moment in their lives!

Despite nature's best attempts, the wedding ceremony was held outdoors beneath the trees and Corbin had a priceless reaction to seeing Lindsay walk down the aisle! (Que the tears from me when I saw his face!). I love it when the bride and groom set aside some extra time for sunset portraits because the light is so glowy and dreamy at this time of day! No harsh shadows and the sky is always creating fantastic colors. I absolutely love all of these portraits of Lindsay and Corbin (some of my new all-time favorites!), and I also think it was nice for them to have some time alone together on their wedding day!
