Rustic Winter Wedding at Stone Creek, Flat Rock, MI: Kristen + Matt
When Kristen and Matt began planning their January wedding they anticipated lots of snow and cold temperatures. They decided that going with classic winter colors of red, silver, black, and pine green would be perfect paired with their rustic-themed wedding and everything would pop of the inevitably white background.
Kristen and Matt's wedding day finally arrived, but so did an unseasonably warm January with temperatures in the 45 degree area! We all enjoyed the outdoor portraits a lot more thanks to this spike in temperature, and all of their colors and decor still looked so beautiful and elegant. The bride and bridesmaids even had cute boots and silver shawls to embrace the winter look!
Kristen and Matt, I had so much fun with you both on your big day and feel honored to have been your wedding photographer! I wish you a lifetime of happiness and wonderful adventures together!

One really cool thing that Matt decided to do for his best man and all of his groomsmen, was to order individual custom engraved steins with real wood and authentic leather all the way from the Ukraine! #bestgromsmengiftever !
I'm so glad that Kristen and Matt decided to take some more portraits of just the two of them a few minutes before sunset and that's why the light in all of these images is so gorgeous! Not only did this time allow for even more portraits, which I love, it also allowed Kristen and Matt some personal time on their wedding day. This all resulted in the lovely, romantic, and fun images you see here!
I think Matt had this big grin on his face the entire day!

Even mom got a bit misty.
There were so many fun dancers and as the reception progressed into the night, some party-goers got a little tired. :)
