On the morning of Alana and Kyle's fall wedding day at Waldenwoods Resort in Hartland, MI, Alana was all smiles as she stepped into her vintage lace wedding gown with the help of her sisters, bridesmaids, and her mom. All the girls were laughing and joking as they helped Alana with her earrings, out of her quirky, cat-in-outer-space socks and into her Badgley Mischka shoes, and even spritzing her perfume before she walked across the property to share a first look with her groom-to-be Kyle!

The fall weather couldn't have been more perfect for these two, and all the trees along the lakeshore were bursting with yellows and oranges. As Alana walked down the steps to Kyle, I had the immense honor of capturing their anticipation of seeing each other for the first time! Kyle had a quiet, sort of expression at first, waiting for Alana to tap him on the shoulder, but his face quickly broke into a smile as he heard her approach! Alana laughed the whole way down the steps before embracing Kyle in a hug from behind because her floor-length veil was proving harder to coordinate than anticipated I think!

Alana and Kyle are the type of couple that I just absolutely love to work with because they like to have fun together and really wanted photographs of the candid moments of their day along with romantic portraits of their love for each other! Alana and Kyle also just love to laugh together and welcomed any and all action or "blooper" photos from their day that I might capture. I am the type of person who craves this type of environment around a couple! One where the couple is so in love, where their families express their emotions freely, where the couple feels free to unapologetically be themselves (however goofy, quiet, romantic, quirky or laid-back they are), and a day that is all about the marriage, not just the wedding.

Alana and Kyle, I want to say again how honored and blessed I feel to have been your wedding photographer and to have been a part of your love story! I wish you both nothing but happiness, laughter, and lots of crazy adventures in life together!
