Cozy, Fall Engagement at Old Family Farm, Monroe, MI | Sam + Josh
Sam + Josh’s Engagement Session
at Her Family’s 100-Year Old Farm
What do you love about fall? I absolutely love the feelings of nostalgia and sense of warmth, curling up under a soft blanket while watching a funny movie, and burning maple scented candles. I live for the smell of smoke from chimneys, going on fall drives, and I absolutely love fall engagement sessions! Fall is my favorite time of the year and it’s always a magical time for portraits, and Sam and Josh had the perfect fall day for their engagement photos!
We spent an evening together exploring Sam’s PaPa’s 100-year old farm in the Michigan countryside and these two were the best!! It was the perfect fall day with bright orange and yellow trees and the evening light was golden, glowy, and so romantic.
Sam and Josh got a little cozy under a blanket as there was a slight chill in the air and they also share a love of football (her, University of Michigan; him, the Fighting Irish!) so it made sense to incorporate that into their session. I love when couples think outside the box and include meaningful details on not only their wedding day, but at their engagement session as well! Everything about my evening with Sam and Josh was light, joyful, and fun - my favorite type of engagement! - and they even cracked open a couple of cold ones, that’s how chill these two were!
Sam and Josh, I am SO excited to photograph your wedding next year and congrats, again, on your engagement!!
Love,
Courtney
I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from Sam & Josh’s Engagement Session!
