When Jen, Kyle, and I all sat down for their initial consultation to discuss their wedding I knew we were going to be a perfect match! Jen is so easy to talk to and I could tell Kyle loves listening to what she has to say! Jen and Kyle told me that they originally met through Match.com, and they joked saying everything just "clicked" from there (aren't they cute?!). . .
Read MoreDid you see what I did there with the title?! Madison and Brandon's engagement session took place in downtown Ann Arbor, MI, and I just lovelovelove that they incorporated so many personal details into their engagement portraits - like Madison's love of books and the couple's love of all things colorful and happy! . . .

When Marita, Kirt, and I sat down to chat about some ideas for their engagement session I was doing a happy dance as Marita told me about their outfit choices! I feel like day-to-day you wear what you need for work or for comfort, but there aren't many opportunities to really rock a blush tulle skirt. I always want my couples to feel like themselves in their engagement portraits, but in my opinion there is no such thing as too dressed up when it comes to the engagement session! . . .

I remember listening to Rachel tell the story of how her and Steve met in high school and eventually became engaged. She had the biggest smile on her face and at one point Steve grabbed her hand during the re-telling of the proposal.

When Alexis told me they wanted to hold their engagement session at The Henry Ford House I was floored and ecstatic! I love history and exploring new and interesting places and I couldn't wait to explore this private residence with them!

To say that these two are fun is such an understatement and while at their Sleepy Hollow State Park and Lansing Fire Station engagement, I listened as Shawn and Megan recounted the early days of their relationship!
Read MoreIt was the last weekend in October. The beautiful shades of burnt orange, brown, yellow, and red burst forth from every stem and tree leaf in sight. Alex and Nick had stolen a moment away from friends and had decided to take one last stroll in the amazing fall weather to take it all in before winter took over. Alex – a girl after my own heart – was so taken with the trees and colors that she snapped a few pictures and seemed lost in the moment with nature. When she finally looked up from her camera, Nick had wandered a little farther along the path and Alex found him in the middle of a crowded group of trees. Nick said, “Come look at this,” and then she noticed at the base of one of the trees was a bouquet of roses. With a smile Alex picked of the roses left against the tree and when she stood upright again and turned back to Nick, he was down on one knee with a ring!

For the engagement session of Maegan and Eric, we explored this secret garden, named WJ Beal Botanical Gardens, and I enjoyed getting to know them a bit better!
